Associate Teacher Apprenticeship

TUITION IS FREE! THIS PROGRAM IS OF NO COST TO THE APPRENTICE.

Jump-start your Early Childhood Education career. Starting Fall 23, The Sonoma County Early Childhood Education Apprenticeship is a unique paid learning and on-the-job training experience where participants will earn 12 Early Childhood Education units through Santa Rosa Junior College, complete 2,000 hours of paid work experience, and will be eligible for an Associate Teacher permit.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Pass a criminal background fingerprint check
  • Provide immunization record
  • Pass a physical health screening
  • Have evidence of a negative tuberculosis test
  • Be able to attend college classes, participate, and submit written assignments
  • Be legally authorized to work in the United States
